The Project

As of 2021, I am fundraising to livestream a performance in Merida, Yucatan of the sensational harpist Ruth Bennett. Ms. Bennett will perform a concert that will feature my substantial 17-minute work Wingbeat for harp and 2-channel fixed audio. What is fixed audio? Fixed audio denotes music that is played back from a recording. This used to be called “tape music,” but tapes are no longer used. The livestream will require a sound engineer and Ms. Bennett's performance fee.

I began to compose Wingbeat at the end of last summer for Ruth who is the principal harpist for the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra in Mexico as well as a member of Bjork's 2019 Cornucopia tour. The substance of Wingbeat is the mythical world history of the swan and the harp.
